Prefab Concrete Panel Restrooms Added To Chapman Park

The Ford Team completed site preparation for a prefabricated concrete panel restroom facility at Chapman Park in the City of Oconomowoc. Located near the entrance and parking area, the prefab concrete panel structure, manufactured by Huffcutt out of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, provides a much-needed restroom to serve the 18-acre park and nearby Lake Country Recreational Trail.

Based on their experience adding a prefab restroom facility at Rockwell Park north of downtown Oconomowoc, the City purchased the prefabricated building for Chapman Park. In preparation for the installation, the Ford Team completed the foundation construction to support the unheated, three-season, low-maintenance restroom facility. Next, a crane placed the 200-square-foot building atop the foundation. Then, Ford’s crew ensured proper service for the water, sanitary sewer, and electrical utility connections.

“Through this process, we learned that a prefab concrete panel structure may be an efficient solution for some of our clients,” says Ford Estimator and Project Manager Jim Warzinski.

The sitework at Chapman Park highlights Ford’s ability to be a reliable team member and tackle unique construction challenges, projects that help clients achieve organizational goals and foster a sense of community.
