THE PROJECT
Miller Mobility is an extensive resource for mobility and medical equipment. As a family-owned business, the owners wanted to provide clients with a true at-home showroom experience. The modern farmhouse aesthetic of their 3,200-sq.ft. building offers a welcoming appeal in its commercial park location adjacent to a prominent hospital. The new retail environment includes showroom and office space as well as inventory storage and an outdoor display area.

The exterior features cedar-look timber construction with thoughtful column and corner brace details. A metal tile ceiling provides a unique accent in the porch area and is continued in the voluminous interior showroom. Clerestory windows add to the airy feel of the space. The ample natural light and carefully considered lighting strategy creates an enticing retail experience. The Ford Team was diligent in maintaining the project schedule as construction progressed from November 2020 through June 2021.
Due to the winter project start, the team erected the building shell and then cast the interior floor. Care was taken at every step to ensure the impeccable installation and craftsmanship of the exposed ductwork, polished concrete floor, stone veneer, windows and metal ceiling. Meticulous project management led to the successful completion of this detailed farmhouse retail destination within an approximately six-month timeframe.
